It's giving "Vacation."

Trixie Mattel, one of the hardest-working stars to come out of the RuPaul's Drag Race franchise, is taking a well-deserved break from drag.

The All Stars 3 winner first discussed the idea of taking a break in an interview on the Zach Sang Show shared on May 24.

"I think, now, I'm a little more interested in work-life balance. I certainly haven't mastered that yet, but this is my sixth day in drag this week, which is a little heavy for me," Trixie explained. "I'm going on a three-month break: July, August, September. [It's] my first-ever break. I'm going to Alaska, [because] I've never worked there, and I probably never will, and I want to see what the vibe is."

Trixie added that her trip to Alaska will probably only last about a week. She also discussed spending some time "at home," meaning Wisconsin, where she co-owns a bar called This Is It.

On June 11, Trixie also told Elle in an interview that she's taking a break from drag. This time, however, the Drag Race legend described the break in a slightly different way. Trixie said:

"I'm going on a three or four-month sabbatical: July, August, September, and October. I'm not even doing social media, so I'm going to really be gone for a while. I'm probably not going to come back at the full speed of Trixie anymore. The Trixie we know, the Trixie that is on every YouTube video, on every show, and every TV show, I just can't sustain that anymore."

She continued, "This giant rat wheel that I've been running on, I need to pull back a lot. So it will be honestly this phase of everybody being like, 'You're everywhere. How do you do it?' You do it by running yourself in the ground. I want a family, and I want a life, and I haven't really had that. I'll probably grow a beard. Besides, the other drag queens have been waiting for me to take my high heel off their throats for years. They love it when I get a sick day. Those f*cking b*tches love it when I get sick. They love it."

Taking a break due to feeling overwhelmed is totally relatable and understandable. At this point in her career, we're nothing but happy and glad that she's prioritizing a healthier work-life balance.

We'll miss you, Trixie, but definitely be waiting for your comeback after this brief hiatus!

New episodes of Trixie Motel: Drag Me Home are streaming every Saturday on Max.
